The Anabaptist, Mennonite and Spiritualist Reformation

The first part covers such topics as Anabaptism in the Low Countries and related spiritualistic movements, including writings from movement representatives as well as editions of the Bible, hymn books, and literature produced by martyrs. Also includes polemical writings for and against the Reformed and Catholic Churches.

The second part concerns sources of the Radical Reformation in the German-speaking regions, with the sources of Anabaptism and Spiritualism constituting the core. Titles treat the period of Münster, Münsterite Anabaptism itself, and the post-Münsterite period as separate subjects. The collection of 775 items includes all the 16th Century books in the Library of the United Mennonite Congregation in Amsterdam, now housed in the Amsterdam University Library.
