Acta Sanctorum
The Acta Sanctorum was the major publication of the Bollandists, a group of scholars called after Jean Bolland, and composed before the French Revolution of Flemish Jesuits in Antwerp. Since 1837 the Bollandists resided mostly at Brussels (St. Michielscollege). This work is a critical description, based on authentic sources, of the lives of all the saints mentioned in the Martyrologium Romanorum. (2,101 microfiche)
