Literature Criticism from 1400 to 1800
This resource provides excerpts from the criticism of the works of fifteenth- through eighteenth-century novelists, poets, playwrights, and philosophers, from the first published critical appraisals to current evaluations. Entries are indexed in the Gale's Literary Index.
In addition to the criticism, each entry also includes biographical information on the author, a list of his or her principle works, and an annotated bibliography that directs the student to further reading on the author.
