Librarians' Book Selections on Ukraine
Hekman librarians are in tune with important national and international events and try to collect the best academic books available on such events and topics. Russia's war on Ukraine is one of these that has not escaped anyone's notice in the past month.
The librarians routinely read publications to help us make wise choices for the collection. We identify authors who are experts in particular areas and watch for their new books. Some imporant authors writing currently on Ukraine's relationship to Russia and the history of Eastern Europe in general, are Timothy Snyder, Taras Kuzio, Serhii Plokhy, and Roman Szporluk. Follow the links to see their books.
If you find that a print book is checked out (as will be the case for some of these authors' books) you have the option of requesting the book from/through MeLCat or looking for an ebook equivalent. Ebooks, however, are not lendable through MeLCat.
