Calvin Joins New Reciprocal Borrowing Program
The American Theological Libraries Association, or Atla, has more than 1,000 members in the U.S. and Canada, and Calvin University has long been a member. Atla has a reciprocal borrowing program which Calvin just signed onto. Currently there are 130 participating libraries.
The Atla Reciprocal Borrowing Program creates an arrangement between North American Atla Institutional Members and Affiliate Candidate Libraries to allow check-out privileges to each other’s patrons/students. A patron/student walks into a participating library, shows proof of current enrollment at another participating library, and checks out materials based on its local lending policies.
The other participating libraries in Michigan are Andrews University, Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary, and Western Theological Seminary. There are 32 U.S. states represented and five Canadian provinces.
