MeLCat Is Back
One of your favorite avenues for requesting books from across the state is up-and-running again. We know that our patrons missed being able to get materials through MeLCat, the statewide catalog and resource sharing service to share materials among all types of libraries. The coronavirus put a stop to MeLCat transactions for months while libraries were closed, but now, with libraries gradually re-opening, MeLCat is back.
In fact, the Head of Access Services at Hekman Library, Carla Hotz, informed the library staff today that there were 8,000 requests placed sytem-wide in one day. The word is getting out!
If you have questions about returning MeLCat items or wonder about an overdue MeL notice, please let us know. Carla Hotz is the staff person chiefly responsible for resolving these issues. (The link will take you to Carla's staff page).
