Library Events to Help You Relax
The library staff is very aware that at this time of the academic year, students' stress levels go up, and sometimes it's good to simply relax and put the books aside for a while.
We are scheduling a couple of events to help students relax.
The Multicultural Student Development Office (MSDO) is planning a poetry jam with the library and Peet's Coffee. This will be on the library's second floor on Saturday, December 7, from 8 - 11 p.m. Come listen to feature artists Tone Taylor and Satori Shakoor, along with other Calvin performers. You can also sign up to perform through the MSDO.
On Reading Recess, Dec. 10, the library will host staff from the Center for Counseling and Wellness. There will be information tables to learn more about the Center's services and therapy dogs to cuddle. (This will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.).
Note that we offer extended hours this month. From December 9 to 17 (excluding Sunday) we will be open until 2 a.m. on weekdays. Friday and Saturday during this period we will close at midnight.
