On August 1, there was a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Peet's Coffee, which is conveniently and congenially located on the library's (2nd) main floor. Tom and Marcia Nobel donated the funds for this to happen, and their family members were present to celebrate with them along with many members of the Calvin community.

Hekman Library looks forward to collaborating with Creative Dining Services to build community on campus. We expect that the increased traffic will get people interested in what the library has to offer beyond the coffee shop, and the space itself will be a welcoming place for solo study, group conversation, getting a quick cup between classes, and much more.
