The closing of the library's second, main floor is required by the Bureau of Fire Safety until a certain portion of the construction of Peet's Coffee Shop is completed. If all goes well, we hope to have the floor open again by May 3.

Students and guests should use the third floor entry to access the library and its services. Floors 1,3,4, and 5 in the library building will remain open.

Students or others needing materials, such as reserves or books on hold/interlibrary loans, will be allowed access in limited numbers. All of our guests should check in with library staff on the third floor before proceeding down to second floor.

The Rhetoric Center and the Research Assistance Desk will be moved to the third floor near the checkout desk. Rhetoric Center will be open for business as usual, with regular hours. Research and reference help also will not change except for the new location. (Hours given here on our schedule).
