In honor of National Library Week, Hekman Library is bringing back a popular and tasty tradition - the Books in the Baking Competition! In this library-foodie event, we invite any Calvin students, staff, or faculty to bake a book-themed cake or other baked good and submit it in a friendly competition. Check out some photos here from past Books in the Baking events - such creativity in these submissions, from a delicious Mount Doom with tiny Frodo and Sam to a bright, cupcake Very Hungry Caterpillar and more!

On competition day, April 12, be sure to bring your culinary creation to the library circulation desk by no later than 3 pm, so we will have time to set everything out. Voting will begin at 4 pm, with tasting and winners announced at 5 pm, and you don’t want to miss it!
