Get Ready for the Festival of Faith & Writing

The Festival of Faith & Writing, Calvin's biennial festival celebrating literature and belief, is taking place this week (April 12-14). Drawing in more than 2,000 people from around the world, this amazing event offers three lively days of lectures, readings, workshops, films, concerts, and more.

This year's festival will feature speakers that include Kwame Alexander, Edwidge Danticat, Jamie Quatro, Bill McKibben, Parker J. Palmer, Carrie Newcomer, Dinty Moore, and many others.

While registration for the full festival experience is now closed, a few different events are still open to the Calvin community and the public with purchase of an individual ticket. And be sure not to miss Kwame Alexander's opening keynote speech on Thursday. It's free to attend!

To help prepare you for the festival, the library has purchased books by some of the authors who are speaking this year. Check out the festival's website as well as the library catalog to see which titles are available.
