Tim Steele, chair of the music department wrote a chapter for the book Exploring Christian Song, (on order; soon to be in the library) edited by M. Jennifer Bloxam and Andrew Shenton. His chapter is titled "Zoltan Kodaly's Geneva Psalm 50: The Composer as Prophet in an Age of Crisis." Professor Steele's special interests include settings of Latin psalms from the MIddle Ages and Renaissance and the use of Genevan Psalmody in 20th Century Hungary.

Loren Haarsma, professor of Physics and Astronomy, contributed a chapter titled "The Original Couple: What are the Range of Viable Positions Concerning Adam and Eve" for the book Old Earth or Evolutionary Creation? Discussing Origins with Reasons to Believe and BioLogos. Professor Haarsma's main research efforts are in quantum mechanics and biophysics. He also studies issues at the intersection of science and Christian faith.

Mark Bjelland in the GEO department authored a chapter titled "Urban Revitalization in a Neoliberal Key: Brownfield Redevelopment in Michigan." This appeared in the book Urban Transformations: Geographies of Renewal and Creative Change. Professor Bjelland's research interests are in urban environments and planning, water resources, and GIS.
