Through the years, authors (Calvin and non) have sought the expertise of Hekman librarians as they ferret out obscurities on the way to publishing a book, book chapter, or journal article. Here are some examples of help given by library staff, from checking authors' dates to getting permission for a photograph to receiving interlibrary loan materials.

Other examples of help given might be tracking down permission for a photograph, hunting for a complete citation (when the author just has a partial one), or finding the attibution for a quote that an author wants to use.
