Encyclopaedia of Islam Three
EI3 updates the previous two editions of the Encyclopaedia of Islam with entirely new content. This massive new edition emphasizes the twentieth century alongside 1400 years of history and gives greater attention to Muslim minority groups, particularly in Asia and Africa.
The EI3 is issued on a quarterly basis.Topics cover Muslim countries and peoples, religion, history, geography, science, and thought. Each entry concludes with the author’s name and an updated bibliography.
Hekman library owns the print version. It is shelved in the theological reference collection on the library's 4th floor (southeast side) with call number BP40 .E523. This invaluable resource is appropriate for undergraduate use through faculty.
