Faculty Authors Honored
The Philosophy and Political Science Departments recently celebrated faculty publications to honor Becca McBride (Political Science) and numerous Philosophy faculty.
McBride's recently published book, The Globalization of Adoption: Individuals, States, and Agencies Across Borders, published by Cambridge University Press in July, discusses the flow of children across borders through intercountry adoption.
Philosophy professors James K.A. Smith, Rebecca Konyndyk De Young, Greg Mellema, Kevin Timple, Christina Van Dyke, and Matt Halteman, and visiting professor, Lambert Zuidervaart were all honored at a reception on October 20. Their recent publications can be viewed on the Philosophy Department's current news page.
The library's policy is to purchase two copies of a book authored by a faculty member who is currently teaching at Calvin at the time of the book's publication. Additionally, one copy is purchased for the Rare Book collection.
