Some of the new titles that will be coming soon to the Hekman Library’s Cayvan Recorded Media Center:
- audio books Lord of the Rings and The Book Thief, winner of the 2007 Michael L. Printz award for best book written for teens.
- new DVDs will include a Joss Whedon (of Avengers fame) production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, and the hilarious animated adventure The Lego Movie, which garnered "nearly unanimous positive reviews” (LA Times) from critics.
- BBC’s Sherlock returns with the highly anticipated third series of the show, and new seasons of the laugh-out-loud series The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother will also be available.
- coming soon to the music collection: Pure Heroine, the debut that launched 17-year-old Lorde to international fame, Disney’s Frozen soundtrack featuring the hit song “Let It Go,” and the 2014 Grammy Album of the Year, Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories.
These items and more will be arriving in the collection this summer, before the start of fall semester.
Cayvan Recorded Media Center houses an ever-growing collection of CDs, DVDs, and Audio Books, as well as a historic collection of vinyl LPs and VHSs. The collection is located in the back of the second floor of Hekman Library. Checkout for recorded media is at the Cayvan service window, which you see pictured.
