Renée De Vries, administrative assistant in the French Dept., along with some students in the program, designed a display case that features French spoken around the world. There's a large map that shows which countries have French as their official language and which as the co-official language. (For example, much of Canada and some countries in Africa fall into this latter group). 

Come and look at the photos from French-speaking countries and other artifacts in the display. You may be surprised to find out that French is much more widely-spoken than you imagined!
