Starting in July of this year, Hekman Library has been partnering with local bookseller Schuler Books & Music to acquire current bestselling books for the Recreational Reading collection. One librarian notes, "When it comes to selecting non-academic books, we have an entire staff of avid readers. But, Schuler has keen insight into what books the college-aged population is reading right now..." The college is supporting local business, and the bookstore can align itself with a consistent customer.
