McGregor Summer Research Fellowships 2016
Every summer the librarians offer their assistance to the McGregor Fellows, a select group of students who work one-on-one with faculty mentors to research a topic in the humanities or social sciences. This year there are 17 scholars working with 12 faculty. Some of the areas they are exploring:
- Tracking Urban Healthcare Disparities (Ashley Zuverink, pictured top right, working with professor Kristen Alford)
- Telling the stories of The Festival of Faith and Writing (Carolyn Muyskens, Anneke Kapteyn and Sarah Bass, top left, working with professor Jennifer Holberg)
- The Politics of Clean Water (Emily Lawson and Abbie Schutte, bottom left, working with professor Kevn den Dulk)
- Global Security Governance in a Changing World (Isaac LaGrand, bottom right, working with professor Joel Westra)
This is a great opportunity for librarians to showcase collections in the chosen areas of study and to help students do indepth research in a relaxed environment.
We congratulate all the McGregor scholars! If you want a closer look at the scholars pictured here, come to the library and take a look at our display on the 2nd floor.
